Your accountability
Whether it’s good judgment and clear thinking, time management and
perseverance, or ethics and, well, accountability – you can’t lead from
behind – you need to be out in front, setting the example, proving that
it works.
The
problem is, who’s really in a position to point out when and where you
dropped the ball? You need someone who can candidly tell you the
problems and help you find and implement the solutions. You certainly
don’t need the “problem” to be some violation of the management fad of
the month, any more than you need one of the management fads to be the
“solution”. You want good, solid, experience based advice.
